Default Visor warning label removal - common thinking?

Still 3M adhesive remover, or denatured alcohol?

Last time I did this the lower face label came off nicely, but the mirror flap was a freaking mess.

Anyone had fail safe method work well on either side?

Thanks.

Although I haven't done it yet, I looked at the linky and the process looks good, although I would use Goo-Gone (NOT Goof-Off) instead of the 3M Remover to remove the left over adhesive.
Can the 997.2 Visor be removed by the same method as described in the thread?

To remove the sticky goo, believe it or not the best thing to use is lighter fluid-works like a charm and doesn't damage anything.

In the past, I have just lived with it - and that's probably a good idea - that or just order some Euro replacements that are clean. The most garish bit is the mirror, but I don't have the visors down that often to notice it. Damn legal BS though - at some point the entire car is going to be one big label...

WARNING - THIS IS A CAR AND YOU CAN KILL YOURSELF WITH IT.

Perhaps if enough customers demanded that the dealers remove the labels before delivery, they'd have to stop it - one can dream anyway.

I took all mine off. With leather visors you have to go about it a little bit differently. Came out perfectly.

Don't keep us in the dark here, Mr. Edgy! I'm on the edgy of my seaty, so please expound!

BTW, if you have the full leather option, do you necessarily have leather visors?

Most certainly NOT! Those individual leather bits are all extra.

Since I bought my C4S off the lot it didn't have the leather visors (XMP order code).
Suncoast shows them as special order with no stickers for $900. Anyone have a better source?

I used this method on my new C4S last week, and it worked great. (Thanks to Orient Express on Renntech )

I used 91% iso alcohol, the 3M adhesive remover, and some Meguiers Trim Dressing to buff off the non-mirror side.

I used a Torx driver to remove the mirror assembly from the car as I did on my 2002 rather than pull the mirror off the arm.

This was much easier than the last time, mainly by soaking the piece of paper towel on top of the label in alcohol constanly for 15 minutes to loosen up the labels before "rolling" them off.

Mirror side looks like it never had a label on it. The other side will show the rectangle shadow at some angles with a bright light.

Eric, call me if want to see my visors.

35 years from now (if we are still here) we are going to be fighting for those stickers when we restore our cars.
