I think Obama would call that Redistribution of Wealth. I would just LOVE to walk up on someone doing that to my car.

Sorry to see that happen to you, but I am very glad that your gorgeous GT3RS is otherwise unharmed.

Car's back from the shop in time for the weekend. If anyone's curious, it costs $1,100 to replace a side window (mostly labor).

Also, to mirror the sentiments of others in the thread, I'm stunned at how attentive and diligent the Houston Police have been. I just got a phone call from the officer who handled the call to let me know that they were able to get a good fingerprint off the window. There were no matches for the print in the database, but that's actually a sort of encouraging sign. Both my and my girlfriend's fingerprints are in that database (a byproduct of having concealed carry permits), so that means it wasn't one of our prints. Some good may come out of it eventually, if the criminal is ever caught down the road for anything else.

I don't know if it's bad that we're all shocked that the police would take this crime seriously, but the fact that they are is a great thing as far as I'm concerned. It goes a long way to quell the frustration I have over having my personal property violated like this.

damn, how do all you guys get concealed carry permits??
In NJ, you get 10 years in prison for carrying a nail clipper!

I gotta move.

But you get an elected office for laundering money...

I'd tell you to come up here, but gas is much more expensive.

We don't live in places like New Jersy, New York, Massachusetts, California, Hawaii, Illinois, etc. etc.

When I was deciding to move out of Louisiana to some other part of the country, I started with a map of the states and began eliminating several, categorically, due to restrictions on firearms.

LOL! That's so true. When I was a youngster and lived in Hudson county, NJ I watched nearly everyone of my families friends go to prison for racketeering! There is a reason they call it the "soprano state"........
