Great pics indeed! GL with the break-in. My system is a hybrid - bringing the revs up gradually and gently to seat the rings on accel/decel

The Sharkwerks bypass is outstanding! Installed mine yesterday and I've been finding reasons to drive all weekend. Highly recommend it, and Alex has dropped the price significantly.

Paul - when will you change your avatar? Let's see the PDK!

Great Tony.
I honeymooned across the street from the Ventana at the Post Ranch Inn,...also very nice. That is a beautiful part of the country. We were scheduled to return there in September for our 5th anniversary but my wife's father was ill at the time.

Great pics guys! We drove part of Highway 1 last May, and this inspires me to come back for more. This time however, it has to be in a Pcar!

Another 100+ mile trip through the Santa Cruz mountains today. A quick run to Pescadero via La Honda for lunch.

Big Sur area is stunning, I can only imagine how much fun in a 911. We were there last year, had some fabulous sunsets from Post Ranch Inn (next to Ventana Inn). At the inn's lobby, some guy was checking in and had his Porsche in the drive, I complimented him on his nice 996, he was confused, didn't know what I meant by '996'. Oh well.

That guy is not a 911 fan, he just drives one.

Believe it or not, there are some people who buy these cars and regard them as just a car. Nothing wrong with that at all, from PAG's perspective.

The guy mentioned above may not even know it's a 911.

To him it may just be a Porsche Carrera, 'cuz that's what's on the car.

I have no problem with that in principle, but the price we pay is that the car design is dictated by that type of customer.

Absolutely. But I wouldn't say dictated by them, because they're mainly ignorant for the most part.

Porsche knows that loyal enthusiasts make up only a small percentage of customer purchases. And anything they add to the car that is of a frivolous or cosmetic nature -- the stop watch on the dash, the quad tips of the S, to name a few -- in an effort to appeal to a broader, less discerning but well-heeled market, they know that loyal enthusiasts will still continue to buy them, because..........they're loyal.
