Newbie saying Hi
Hi all,
Today I purchased a 2006 C2S Cabriolet. The car is black on black with tons of options. (I'll list them all out later). The car has low miles (14K) and the necessary 6sp.
I traded in my 2003 e39 M5 as part of the deal. (Didn't need 4 doors anymore) I'll certainly miss some aspects of the M5 (like the 400hp and 400ft/lbs grunt of the V8), but they are completely different cars. As with many on the board, I have lusted after 911s since I was a kid. I love the looks of the car, and the drive is intoxicating. I love having a cab, and the younger kids can still fit in the back in a pinch.
I'm a dyed in the wool car nut, so I plan on hanging out on the board a lot. Looking forward to conversing with you guys and finding out more about my ride and others.
PS. Any events or get togethers/drives P-car owners do in the SF Bay Area?

Welcome AT.
And congratulations on your purchase (I've learned to say congrats - ahh never mind, it's a long story).
But yes, please post photos as soon as you can. That's what everybody here likes to see the most.
Again, welcome aboard. Hope you enjoy your stay.

Welcome to another SF Bay Area member. Tell us more about your car and how you plan to use it.
I suggest you join PCA and participate in the local chapter events. You can pick among the Golden Gate, Loma Prieta, Redwood Regions and others. They all have DEs, autoX and track events.

Your next post needs to include photos of that new beast. You're among the lucky few who get to live in the California climate and drive a cabriolet. Welcome.

Welcome, and like others have said- post those pics!
Nice taste in cars- I couldn't bear to part with my M5 as I just enjoy driving it way too much. You will, of course love driving the Porsche. I'm curious to know your comparitive impressions of both.

I suggest you check out PCA.org and see what chapter covers your area.
All the best. Enjoy
