Default Classic 2009 997S Modified @ SharkWerks

This atlas grey This atlas grey 2009 997S came into us for a quick make-over. Just like on our car, we opted for the TechArt lowering spring kit...

In go the front springs.

Followed by the rear:

For a subtle bump in sound we also installed the SharkWerks exhaust:

There she is with the lowered stance off for a test-drive:

And as far as lightweight wheels go, the simple and classic Champion RS184 wheels were chosen:

Ready to go home...

Very nice!

How much less do those Champion wheels weigh compared to the stock ones you replace?

Thanks Chuck and they're about 3 pounds lighter per corner in front and 4.5 in rear each.

Very nice Alex! I really like "conservative" mods like this. Lower and thus better alignment (more camber), classy wheels, modest exhaust change. It's a great "Recession Buster" package!

You look at those Champion RS184's off the car by themselves and they kind of look ho hum...then you see them on the car and that is where they really complete everything. I REALLY love these purposeful meaty looking wheels.
I also bet they would look awesome in a darker grey, kind of like the 2010 GT3 wheel color or a satin black.
Great work Sharkey!

The stock '09 S wheels may not be as light, but are more interesting and appropriate looking than those Champion's.

I like my 09 stock S 19s, but they remind me of Ferrari wheels, not Porsche. These Champions, however, look "right" to me for this car. Simple, light, purpose built.

Thanks Ron... I dig the simplicity of these. Can't go wrong with lightweight 5-spokers from Champion

Thanks pal... I like them a lot myself. I wanted to get them in 18s for the track but they don't make 'em
