Default Dont do what I did with Cell phones-997 issue

I put my cell phone (Blackberry Storm) in my 997 in the little cell phone holder in the back of the
center console. Then it was lost. I looked 2 weeks for it, say a month ago.
Never found it. Go to store get a Droid, Son likes it has to have one, now we buy two Droids, and little son wants new one -so 3 Cells phones (2 droids) and 4 weeks later, I am in the back of my car cleaning the back seats and there is my Blackberry in the littl pocket I put it in. $500 later, I NEVER saw it. It is so well disguised I never saw it.

Aw come on Paul, Merritt is not going to buy that story and neither are we. Glad you got the new phone you wanted, though.

my car steals my phone if i'm wearing sweats or mesh shorts...it just slips out the pocket, into the back seat floor, then when I brake it slides under the seat. Quite annoying, now I put it under the ebrake, it cant go anywhere.

Well, yes, but age has its compensations, fellow Old Guy.

Frank Sinatra recorded a song: "This is all I ask." One of the lines was "Beautiful girls, walk a little slower when you walk by me / Lingering sunsets, stay a little longer with the lonely sea [...]"

Today we pulled into the Post Office to mail a letter. We parked in the handicap slot next to the main entrance. Cindy was feeling the better of us two tonight, so she got out to take it in. A little girl about nine saw her coming and held the door for her, as people often do for me. We have a very polite community.

Even when I wait outside, I watch her safely in and back, so I was looking at the door when next a pretty young woman about 25 came up in long red hair, high heels, and a full skirt. As she opened it, the swirling wind provided a classic Marilyn Monroe effect. I looked for the cameras. It just had to be a commercial urging the purchase of Hanes Underwear. She clearly had forgotten hers you see, and only in commercials do such combinations of high heels, full skirts and uh, wind come together promoting an unnecessary acquisition. It was entirely like Twiggy advocating Weight Watchers. This woman clearly needed Hanes no more than the Queen's Own Highland Guard do under their kilts.

Then I remembered Sinatra and realized the other explanation. Charity. I have reached that age where women are showing consideration for my wealth in years. The penultimate stage I fear. Young women have progressed from holding the door for me to holding their pose.

The end is near. The situation bears watching.

Why didn't you dial your cell phone number and listen for the ring? Works for me every time.

Staring would not be a gentleman's act. However, we collectively have responsibility for the safe upbringing of the younger generations. I was naturally concerned she might stumble, so in the end I watched closely. It... uh, she bore up well under examination.

All it wanted was her bending over to pick up dropped mail at precisely that moment to unify the meaning of fanny on both sides of the cultural divide that is the Atlantic.

I can only suppose she was up here in the High Desert on a film shoot. (We're not far from Hollywood.) Firstly, because she was groomed immaculately, but more playfully than a professional woman would be during the business day. Secondly, because women who live here know better than to wear filmy skirts in our gusty winds.

More's the pity.

Gary, wistfully

About halfway to Rosamund from Lancaster. Maybe a third. Takes ten minutes to get to town, but that's in an S. Figure 12 minutes in a Cayenne.

Might be interested in the old Storm if you want to swap for it, or sell....
