Most of the stuff has already been nailed. For me yes the leather aroma, just the feel of natural leather and ofcourse the appearance of the big red brake calipers.

Sure, our cars are bit pricey - but the driving dynamics and quality put them in another league
over the cheaper competition IMHO. The power to weight ratios aren't bad either compared to the bigger V-8s with their weight at the opposite end of the driving wheels.

Since I was 12, I've wanted a 911; the look, the sound, the history, now, many decades later, it's in my driveway. Friggin' awesome!
Yea, no storage, no spare, no nav, no iPod connection, I have a F150 and wife's Murano for that.
BTW, hit the ECO button, turns off my A/C.

That it turns every drive into a joy.
That it makes me want to take the long way home so I can drive some nice curves.
That I can thrash it on the race track and still drive it home.

That's it perfectly set up as the practical performance car - pedals are perfect for heel toe, great driving position, easy to change brake pads. But I can put the PASM on soft and be comfortable every day. Amazing!

The looks - it's just beautiful sitting there and has no bad angles.

The revs and engine response - never had a car with an engine like this - just a trip compared to BMW IL6s (which I loved and still sometimes miss).

The comfort - I feared I'd be sacrificing a lot, but for me it has turned out to be a "Goldilocks" fit.

Can wash it and wax it in no time compared to larger cars. For Black, that's a big deal.

The car's a chick magnet.

I constantly cruise around the schools, parks and playgrounds!

I like to see how many over-the-top smiles and approving gazes I can get from the soccer moms.

It's easier for me to list what I don't like about my Porsche than what I do like.
And even on the dislike list, there's usually None

Hehe. Good comparison. OTOH, it can't beat the van shown below.

Yeah, definitely. But let's see which one is more noticeable, shall we?

Looks like the P-car wins.

If I had an unlimited car budget, I would probably still spend it on a 911, though I would probably pick up an older one as well just for fun.

At work, I walk to lunch everyday and not a day has gone by that I don't turn around, look down the parking lot and think "man, that's is one damned good-looking car!"

There really is nothing like it. Even all the fancy exotics don't compare.

997.1

Its performance.
Its looks.
Its mystique.
In that order.

You guys are making me miss my 997 as it sits in my garage 200
miles away from me.

I had to take my truck on a trip down to Kansas City in order to
fit all my damn luggage.

for me it's the feeling of quality, comfort and performance that is not tarnished by marketing hype that prevails with other marques. No flash, just substance.

I just realized that my shirt, suit and shoes are Italian. Does that mean there's a prancing horse in my future?
