what i wrote earlier:
i dont get it. Why does the world need another SUVEE? Its not like the Cayenne is large or anything. In fact I think its on the smaller end of the spectrum.
Lemme guess, P is going to launch the Cajun in New Orleans.
P get back to your roots, PLEASE.

Can't wait for the "Crawdaddy" special edition.
I don't get naming a car after an ethnic group though. Where'd they run their focus groups?

PLEASE go back to naming cars with numbers! A letter or two is OK: 911, 911 S , 911 GTS, 928, 968, 986, GT3, etc, so much cooler than Cayman, Panamera, Cayenne, et all. My 2¢.

Lincoln even sued Porsche because they tried to name some 356's Continetals.

It would be fitting if all Porsches' names were, like "Carrera", some derivative of "race car" but in various other languages. IMHO, if the cars are not suitable for racing, they should not be branded as a Porsche. Plenty of other VAG brands to support those type of cars.
Fortunately, despite suicidal talk by many enthusiasts, the existence of more mundane cars bearing a Porsche crest has no bearing on the performance of the 911s, Boxsters, Caymans, etc, we all presently drive. And look on the bright side- when Porsche unveils their new Routan, 911s are going to be DIRT cheap to buy as recent widows flood the market with used cars!

I just heard about this on the Car Show... COME ONE ALREADY!
With watered down 991, Cayenne, Panamera for soccer moms, smaller Boxster at lower price, and now CAJUN! I seriously am considering another brand when back in the market again.

It's pronounced Kay-Yun.
Not everyone needs a large or even a mid-size SUV. Some people may need the volume carry-on capability of a smaller SUV - like the X3 and the Tiguan. I bet the Cajun will be great.
Forget the prejudice that it's not a sports car. Look at it for what it is, and it may surprise you how it compares to the rest in-class.
