Default Just ordered 911 Turbo S cabrio

New member here...

ordered a car I have been dreaming of for more than 30 years.

I hope to have the car End of Feb or Begining of March 2011.

I have a question. Can you use P21S to clean the wheels that have ceramic brakes? I see the P21s site says safe on all wheels and brake systems but not specifically saying ceramic?

It will surely be a long winter waiting for this car. Until then i will be lurking and learing all I can about these machines.

thanks in advance for you help.

Jeff

Default Congrats on the new ride

You can use P21S to clean your wheels but I think you'll find it is not necessary. Virtually no brake dusting on the PCCBs. The remaining dirt will wash away as it does the remainder of the car.

One of the big pluses is that you will spend virtually no time worrying about cleaning the wheels. The PCCBs do produce some dust but it is so minor that whenever you wash the car a light rinsing is all that's needed to stay on top of the wheels. I rarely take the time to specifically wash my wheels.

Congrats!!!

Work on your grip strength, you'll need it with all that acceleration. C & D got a 2.7 sec. 0-60 mph run with this car(coupe version)!!! That's Veyron territory for 1/10 the price. Great choice and enjoy the car in great health.

I use the P21S car wash and it works great on my wheels, no need for harsh wheel cleaners.

Yeah, and this is by C&D which has a vendetta against Porsche IMHO.

The new Turbo S is a pure beast. It's the fastest production car in the world off the line(not counting the Veyron).

0-30: 1.1 Sec.
0-60: 2.7 Sec.
0-100: 6.4 Sec.

This will be a nice surprise. The sales people should use it as a selling point!

In case you didn't see it, Road & Track recently tested the new 911 Turbo S(coupe) and achieved the following:

0-30: 1.0 Sec.
0-60: 2.6 Sec.
0-100: 6.3 Sec.

Unbeeeeeeeeeelievable!!!

Congrats.

Consider Rejex for the wheels (yeah, we carry it), it's on there for a good long time and helps keep the surface slippery. P21S Wheel Gel is great stuff for cleaning. Rejex the painted surfaces, including wheels, and you're good to go.

Nice order. Congrats again, and good luck with the wait!

I heartily 2nd the recommendation for Rejex - I got a bottle from our friend at BumperPlugs and it not only makes my HRE P40's looks shiny as can be, but noticeably extends the time between wheel washes.

I not only applied it to the outside of the wheel, but using a soft terry cloth lined wheel cleaning tool, I also used Rejex on the barrels of the wheels - makes them much easier to clean.

Now, if I only had PCCBs, brake dust would be a thing of the past!
