Default 2007 C2S Price Check

I found a CPO 997 C2S w 13k miles. The car is flawless but it seems like the dealer wants a little too much for it. 63.5k is what his "final" offer is. I was thinking it would be worth more like 60-61 but its the CPO you are paying for. It is midnight blue on beige with adaptive seats, sports chrono, bose, heated seats, turbo wheels. The car almost looks too clean to use or drive

Yeah - seem a bit much. In November last year I bought a 2009 C2S, 9k miles for $69k.

rediculous, i sold my 09 PDK for 63,750 in september of 10', why would anyone pay the same for an 07? and most will pull the "it's an S" card.. but an 09 base with PDK will rape an 07 S any day of the week 6sp or Tip. and has tons of cool updates as well.

also my car had warranty till 2013 so whats the need for CPO when it has the better factory bumper to bumper warranty?..

look for an 09 base pdk and call it a day... the 07 will plummet when the new carrera comes out in 6 months anyway, the 09 will drop but nowhere near as much as 997.1.

How many miles/what kind of miles were on your '09 PDK when you sold it?

It's amazing what people will pay for red brakes and a 3rd pedal.

paid $66K fror'08S w/2950 miles in Nov 2010 (CPO'd thru Apr 2014)

I seriously doubt any 7.2 base will be raping any 7.1S...

tons of cool updates? not sure - elaborate.

base vs S? nope, too many plusses with the S

PDK? sure, especially if you're in a heavy traffic area or hills (SF) where an automatic is benficial....but for the enthusiast that prefers the manual, PDK is of no benefit (and I doubt you're really doing any serious racing in the base '09 where the speed of pdk benefits)

the '09 will plummet along with all 997s when the new model comes out (or are you suggesting that model year base unit with pdk is collectible?)

and as I recall, your car took forever to move, so did you have to go to $63K?

I've posted in other threads about 2007 997S pricing as follows:

My 2007 997S has 70k miles, black over sand, original owner, well equipped (the car, silly). I maintain it very well, but it does have stone chips all over the hood and the windshield is pitted. All that considered I think I would do well to get $42k for it, and couldn't see asking much above $45k. I think it's condition and mileage is worth about $10k so I would expect to pay low $50s for the car in the OP. Maybe I am unrealistically cheap, but it seems pretty easy to find cars that will price about that range (after some negotiating) on craigslist, autotrader, cars.com and eBay. I would give 2-3k more for CPO if it had some life on it still (wouldn't be worth much on my car). Just my $0.02 of course.

CPO is worth 2 grand and a piece of mind for first time Porsche owners.

For 62, I would rather pick up a 997.1 targa 4S with low miles, clean carfax and clean dme for <64. Yeah you can get a 997.2 C2 for 67-69 and C2S for 69-74. But and big BUT $10k is 10k more of the hard earned money.

Buy the one that you feel right and happy with. You will know when you meet it. GL

What do you guys think is a fair price? High 50s? I also found a 2007 black on beige c4s w 18k miles for 56k about the same options as this one, that seems more reasonable to me. Price seller though.

+1. 7.1 is still faster (6speed vs. 6speed).

Plus 7.2 engine/exhasut tone has detriorated considerably... even with PSE its totally muted compared to 7.1, that's actually the biggest flaw of DFI engines (or Porsche implementation), I am sure 991 would be different as Ferrari gets amazing noise out of their direct injection engines.

High 50s more reasonable... private sale is usually a few thousands less cause dealers need to make money, plus you get CPO and peace of mind.

Alex: I am just curious. Why do you think the 991 will cure this issue since the engines (initially, at least) are not going to change that much according to what I have read? z356
