Good answers here. From my own experience, make sure they patch the tire from the inside. If there is a problem after patching you will know fairly quickly; if not, you should be good to go. I would not take a car to the track with a patched tire because the Z speed rating has been compromised, but for everyday driving you will be fine. Most likely a Porsche dealer will tell you that you need a new tire and will not patch the tire for you. Make sure that you take the tire to a shop that can work with your wheels without scratching them! my two cents...

Okay, well a patch is cheap so I took it in to Tru Line in Seattle, a great shop. They not only do the patch from the inside, but rebalance the wheel to compensate for the weight. They told me the patch was safe to 130, but sustained speeds above 130 were a no-no. So HPDE is probably not a great idea. Maybe it's time to get the track tires and save these for the street.
