A sunroof has been an 911 option (and a popular one in Europe) since its introduction in '64. I like a sunroof.

I like having sunroofs and used it extensively in my previous car, M3. But after I bought my Porsche 997S, I found that it had a lot more buffeting and "thumping" type noise which hurt my ears so I never used it. In general, I would still order one with.

My Cayman didn't have one. It seemed like something rather cool when I got my 911. I found that I never use it. If I had the option now, the only reason that I'd get it would be its possible effect on the resale value of the car.

Number of times my sunroof has been opened: Probably about 10
Number of times I have used my windshield wipers: 1
Number of times someone has ridden in the rear seats: 0

If I had to check a box for the option, I probably wouldn't have.
Since I do have it, I use it every now and then; mostly to help get the Florida heat out when parked in the sun. Can't think of ever using it for more than 5mn at a time though.

In my own stupidity, I (somehow) did not make this question an actual POLL. My apologies.
However, here's the unscientific tally so far:
16 respondents DO want sunroofs in their 911s
23 replies DO NOT want/use their sunroofs
and 5 folks specifically mentioned the "sunroof should be optional" (as it is in Europe).
Interesting. Not earth-shaking, but interesting.
