Not sure if mine would count as 'high' miles. Just bought it last month with 40k. Now using it as my DD with 25 miles RT commute. Can't wait to get some winters to make through the Illinois snow season!

DD here. Just did my 60K spark plugs/filters/belt today, as a matter of fact.

I've put 22k miles in 15 months.

Just drove it to Vegas 2 weeks ago (4 to 5 hours each way, depending on traffic). I was with my wife and it was no problem for us.

DD has never been a problem for me, other than having a black car is a real pain to keep clean. It's full of rock chips.

I am thinking of holding onto it a bit more until the 991 comes out and then trading it in for a used PDK car. I've decided, after 25 years of driving manuals, to make the big jump...

I daily drove your car for a year and a half

my current 997 is also my daily. single, no kids, SoCal weather = 997 is a phenomenally practical car the majority of the time.

My 997.2 is my daily drive, too. If it wasn't I'd never get any use out of it, and what a waste that'd be!

I use it mostly to go to the office and when I go places with the toddler. It was a bit rough the first time she was getting back in the car covered in mud; but as someone else said – it's a car, it's made to be used. :-)

DD the $!#@ out of it before the rms failes.

I did the garage queen, weekend thing for a while, but was not satisfied with my DD's - so I got a 997 coupe to enjoy every day !

The trip thing can be a problem for me. my kids are tall and athletic. Bringing more than one can be uncomfortable - so we take wifey's car.

Four years plus here on my 996 and now my 997. I will think about PDK if I get a 901.

My Porsches have been my daily drivers for the past 18 years. I drive the TT virtually every day of the week. Kid hauler, grocery getter, errand runner. Last weekend I had two kids, an overflowing shopping cart worth of groceries, and a big stack of clean laundry from the dry cleaners.

DD here weather permitting. Also use it for longer trips to meetings if the drive/flight time difference is under 4 hours -Just returned from a 1600 mile round trip to New Orleans....and bust one of my direct fuel injectors somewhere on the return trip. Was a hoot though!

Gizmo, I'm in the same boat as you. I just bought a 07 C2 CPO for my DD with 80 mile round trip. I will be picking up some snow tires for the winter in IL. Elmhurst specifically. I figure that it will make the roads a little prettier when everyone else is putting away the P cars for the winter!

I guess by the responses I am the odd man out.....I don't DD my 06 C4S...I have a 07 Accord EX V6, 01 F250, 03 Audi A6 and a 79 Honda CB750 cafe racer as DD's.

I savor the drive in the C4S on nice days and DE's.
