I live in Arizona so will it help with uva and uvb? But it doesn't help with heat reflection?
I thought you couldn't put film on the windshield. Thanks!

That's correct. Diamond Fusion blocks out both UV-A and UV-B. Since it is clear, there is very little heat reflection. Prestige Films state that it provides 10% TSER (total solar energy rejection)...not a whole lot in terms of heat rejection.

So you can still use the windshield wiper with it? That's the common problem w/ the race windshield tearoff..

Any plans to offer a pre-cut kit specifically for the 997?

This is all done with bulk material as the Diamond Fusion needs to be heat shrunk to conform to each glass' curvatures.

I had another question regarding the windsheild film. To date I have never seen a film that is perfectly clear. Reflective qualities are not as good as paint and regardless of the supplier you can still see that the film has imperfections and overall isn't perfectly smooth. On a windsheild this could lead to eye strain. Is the film you're offering optically clear?

There are only two products on the market that is designed for windshield protection.

Prestige Diamond Fusion

Madico Clearplex

With this product that we are finally carrying after close to two years of testing, we do not see any optical clarity issues or distortions. Perhaps, what you may have seen is improperly installed film that leads to clarity issues.

Here are some close ups of it from the inside. It is an optically clear product. We believe Prestige did a great job in creating a very good product that will protect our client vehicle windshields' over time.

As a point in reference, these photos below were taken here at approximately 6:30pm.

Thank you for the reply, sounds like it might be a great solution. Can this film also be used on paint or is not flexible enough for the curves on a car?

Regarding the optical clarity of other films I've seen, I doubt it has anything to do with the installation. I have never seen a clear bra that doesn't change the reflective qualities and optical clarity in certain light and I've seen a ton of installs. Granted I'm extremely picky and as a detailer and concours nut I tend to see things a little differently so it's probably just me. I also realize that this type of product is in its infancy as compared to the paint that's used on our cars so I guess in a decade or two the clear film will be dramatically better and more consistent.

I should add that the clarity hasn't stopped me from having the clear bra installed. It's a great solution to prevent damage to the car's paint and the clarity is good enough. I have every intention to remove the existing film in about 4 - 5 years and have the latest product installed which I'm sure will be an improvement as the technology makes advances.

Your description now makes sense because you are comparing paint protection film to this Prestige's Diamond Fusion. They are of completely different composition. Diamond Fusion is clear hardcoated 4 mils thick film vs. paint protection film that comes with various brands that is designed to be stretched to conform to the surfaces of the body panels. Paint protection film is not designed to be installed onto glass.

Diamond Fusion is much clearer than any paint protection film on the market. With that said, there are a few brands on the market that exhibits very little texture. The clearer the paint protection film, the tougher it is to install, so many installers would choose the easier to install product that has more texture to it.

Hmm this would be great for my 993 but I have a feeling it costs as much as a winshield replacement

And now photos of a piece of windshield that is half covered with Diamond Fusion to illustrate the optical clarity of this product by Prestige Film Technologies
