bought my first 911 in February. Joined this forum in April.

So you don't love the car or are you just feeling insecure? I promise you the more you drive the less you will worry about it. Just say no to planned obsolescence and enjoy your 997 because Porsche will make you crazy otherwise. It is a non issue unless you are one of those guys who drives past a nice earlier Porsche and thinks "Mine is better than yours" (or in this case 'bigger than yours'). With sports cars at least bigger is not better. Enjoy.
