Default A bit more RED for my girl..

I just received my steering wheel from Dimitri (tainik on eBay). I am more than pleased with the wheel, it is beautiful and flawless. This guy was prompt with my questions and shipped faster than I expected. I could not be happier. The LED lights make the colors a bit off in the picture, the red on the wheel actually matches the red on the console very well.

Sorry for the late reply, I guess I'm not getting email notifications for some reason. I used the SEM 15013 black paint for ABS plastics. I use the same stuff to go my door sills every so often to make the scuffs disappear and used it for my console trim piece below the tiptronic shifter. I use the SEM Soap 39362 first followed by SEM plastic and leather prep #38353 then the SEM sand free adhesion promoter #38363. Yes, there are four steps and four products but it is a great match and gets rid of the ugly gray that doesn't match anything else. I had issues using this product on the tiptronic switches on my steering wheel and had to use an enamel paint I found at Hobby Lobby that matched pretty well.

Received my first Blackstone report today. My 911 is a 2007 C2S with 53k miles. I'm pleased.

Yup, that's a good report. More Zinc and Phosphorus (1,000-1,200 ppm) would be better to help protect the valve train, but you won't see #s like that with Mobil 1 - you'd need Motul xcess or JGR DT40.

If you add the TAN and TBN analysis to your next one, we can do more analysis to see how acidic or basic the oil is.

Thanks Petza, Got it on my list (TAN and TBN). You know I've always seen folks talking about Motul but never considered it. I might just try and and see how it turns out next time...unfortunately that would be two reports from now because Mobil 1 is back in it .

That's OK. It will give you a larger sample size to compare it to.

I let mine stay in the garage as its been 60 MPH winds here all day, lots of trees down and debris all over the place. On my street the winds blew over two metal newspapers boxes, right into a car and really scratched it up.

Installed the clear sidemarkers, updated radiator cap, replace the air filter from 2006 and replaced the belt.

That looks fantastic - I'm thinking that's a Dark Olive Metallic color (my late wife's Boxster is that color) - the color must really pop when the sun hits it! Tell me about those side skirts.... great looking car.....

Thought these might be OEM but after investigating a bit I don't think they are. So redacting my thought. I think they look great though and agree that color is outstanding!
