Taking the muffler off was actually pretty easy. At one point I considered taking off the muffler mounting hardware, but I dealt with it. Having the right combination of extensions, etc helps a lot. I really need a 4-5 in extension. And my spark plug socket is great at removing spark plugs, completely sucks at letting go of the new spark plug after you torque it down.

I did something like that one I stopped using my king-fu grip spark plug socket to install the new ones. Also I really should’ve asked Santa for a power ratchet.

No salt on the roads yet so decided to take her out for a much needed spin #whiteriver
she needs a proper bath and winterization but the weather has been in the upper 30s……

No pics?
Well, needless to say the process isn't straight forward. The way the tiptronic shift **** attaches to the tiptronic gear selector arm is extremely unique and I completely understand why porsche decided to change it. I have been working on this for a number of weeks and finally managed to crack it. All without causing any damage to the car! Completely bolt on-bolt off.
I have received a few messages, some intrigued and some discrediting me as if to say it's a lie both on here and Instagram (@997abs) <-- click
Some that already follow will have seen the trails and tribulations I've gone through. Plus some of what's required to get it working.
I'll be looking to post a reel of it all when I get some time!
I also do real fiber carbon skinning. I made this piece to match the other pieces I have made for my car. Please excuse the tatty leather boot as I purchased it second hand. Anyone that wants to do the conversion will require this trim as well.
So, here's a YouTube vid as proof of it in action:
Thanks!

Gotta love that. The shadowing is actually very impressive!! And the detail in the headlights as well. She needs to keep at it, she got a good eye. And hand, obviously.

Did some very small maintenance jobs on the interior, then washed it:
Caressed it (pics before driving it to dry the brakes and reattaching black stoneguards):
Polished its shoes:
Then had a nice little drive and parked it in the garage under its pjs ... Lovely morning and getting to know more and more about this beauty.
