Which model mas the most backseat space or are they all the same: Carrera, Targa, Cabriolet?

Pretty sure the cab has the least - my cab definitely seems to have a little less room back there than my prior coupe.

The Targa (997.2 and earlier) may have less headroom in back that a Carrera, at least when the top is open, since the sliding glass roof retracts beneath the outer roof.

But if you need a real back seat, your choices are (a) Panamera or (b) Cayenne. I chose (a).

I think the cab has the same leg room bug the seat backs are angles forward to accommodate the roof mechanism. Can't speak for the targa but the above comment about the glass reducing headroom makes sense.

had 997.1 cab and 997.2 coupe.

the coupe without bose has most backseat space for people and or for luggage, bose takes up about 1ftx8"x3ft of space behind the seat backs..

the cab back seats are actually acute versus the coupe being an obtuse angle. headroom is more on cab but pointless cause people are uncomfortable.

for 1" more headroom you can remove the seat cushions (velcro) and people with moderate waists can sit even lower...

would drive around with 4 people often in the coupe... never a problem, i am 6'1" but i sit as someone should (back straight) so people behind me rarely complained..

Drove across Canada in May in a 997 c4s cab with 3 of us - 2 of them were +6 ft 17 yr olds (my son and his friend). I think the space differences are minimal so not much point in debating which 911 has more room. Unless you want to jam people in the back then another car like the Pana is what you want. If you want the ultimate road trip with the top down then get the c4s cab and some very flexible (or accomodating) friends!!
