Hyundai Genesis faster than Porsche Panamera S
Fellow 997 owners, what do you think? 0-60 time. See the advertisement for yourself. This has nothing to do with whether or not you would actually buy a Hyundai, or whether the entire package is better, etc. If a true claim, what do you think? I did a test drive of the S model and I knew something like this would happen, though I thought it would be with something having a bit better pedigree. No doubt Porsche has kicked butt with the Turbo model, but that's in another price universe than the S & 4S.

Lots of cars are fast in a straight line, few are fast when the road has corners and handing starts to become more important than power. Still, the Genesis a great car for the money.

That car looks like a cheap rip off of a Mercedes Benz.

0 - 60 is an idependent source! Some manufacturer's like to brag about 0 - 60 times and others don't state the real numbers.

It's a 5.0 V8 in a package that probably is quite a bit lighter than the Panamera S.
But, seriously, how does this even matter?
The Genesis is a nice car, from what I've seen and read. To my eyes it has incredibly derivative styling. But I doubt many potential Panamera buyers would see the 0-60 comparison and run over to the Hyundai store.

+1. Hyundai is doing very well. They've come a long way. I havent driven one of their cars but i recently rode in a Genesis and I was impressed. I'd consider this car at half the price of an S class. Its not a competitor to the Panamera though. Thats a "drivers" car.
