Best product for rubber?

I've always used Spray Silicone to lube all the rubber bits inside and outside my vehicles. It's what my father did and always seem to work on the door seals and all the stuff under the hood. It makes everything look new and brings back the luster of the rubber parts. I think it works good. I even spray it on my forks and shock of my dirt bike and have never had a seal failure. Maybe the old man knew what he was doing. I really never gave it much thought.

What will cause problems are the volatile organic compounds (VOCs) used as propellants, solvents and drying agents in the spray. Ever considered dressing those seals with butane, dimethyl ether, isobutane, or something similar? That's what the spray does.
The VOCs won't create issues on stainless steel bike forks. Heck those could probably even stand up to Simple Green. And we all know how nasty that stuff is.
Seriously - Metals and most hard plastics will resist VOCs at the level in a typical spray. But soft seals and even some headlight lenses won't.
303 is a great product IMHO.

For a nice natural finish I also vote for 303.
If you want a satin finish I like Griots Vinyl/Rubber. I use it on the seals, vinyl, plastic and rubber.

Somebody turned me on to Swissvax Seal Feed that is amazing for it's intended purpose. A bit of a PIA because you apply, wait and rub out, but it's long lasting and advertised to sort of "rejuvenate" the seals. Expensive (relatively). This is not for tires, it's a small bottle. I used it on windshield seals, door seals, etc.

another product that's supposed to work well is Leatherique leather cleaner. Its certainly a really good Leather Cleaner/conditioner/protectant.
They also use it on tires :-)
I usually "clean" with leatherique and top up with 303. Not sure if thats optimal though :-)
