A group of white 2011 911 S cars are for sale in ILL. All came from the Porsche Driving scholl in Birmingham. New Tires/rotors/brakes/Windshield and they had the protective 3M removed off the fronts, so no chips.
Never titled, but the warranty started during there use at the school.
I would think there should be alot of wear to the suspensions and possibly other things with daily track use. All are being offered in the mid 70's.
Thoughts if these would be decent to own ?

Keep in mind, Porsche recommends that a car have 2000 to 4000 miles of break in, meaning limiting the RPMs to 4000, max.

I bought a 2012 Carrera S Cab, with plenty of options brand new (17 miles on the odometer) for $88,500. Even though the warrnaty has started on these track cars, there is a very good chance Porsche will offer you an additional one year bumper to bumper warranty for no charge. I received an additional year on my car, since the warranty had already started on it, too. If you have a dealer check the VIN # you should be able to find out pretty easily.

All of that being said, these cars have seen a lot of heavy use. There are a lot of lightly used Carrera Ss to choose from that have never seen a track. These cars are not rare.

Carfax will show ownership.... if it hasn't been titled but has 10K miles then start asking questions. In general, try to find a car that has a good ownership history... ie, one owner trade-in car at dealership where it was serviced, private sale with service records, etc vs. car that the dealer got off auction. That should help minimize the odds of ending up with a heavily tracked DE school car.

They have 4 or 5, I think. Salesmanager confirmed they were from Birmingham.

I called on them, but I really never considered a driving school car. I really don't think some people would actually care, or even bother asking. They first told me they were Porsche exec cars, but after a few more questions, I found they were all driving school cars.

Yes this is my first post.
To look for evidence of the car being tracked, I look at the radiators. Small pieces of tire rubber will collect in front of the radiators. I also look under the front bumper cover. Cars that corner hard will be scratched disproportionately at the corners because the front corner is diving under a hard turn.

I would do a scan with my Durametric for any purchase. I'd bet the 991's were well maintained and would not rule out further investigation for these cars.

I'd think long and hard about it unless it was a serious discount on price and you got a full warranty when you bought it and the option to purchase an extended warranty really, really cheap.

I'd want an immediate above and beyond service to replace all fluids and brakes and tires- the whole works.

I have a real problem with them initially saying they were "Porsche exec cars" given their history, and have to wonder how many unsuspecting prospective buyers were told that. There is a big difference between exec cars and cars being tracked. And the fact the cars were not titled wouldn't be a red flag given the exec car explanation.

I wouldn't be dissuaded from buying one as their maintenance there is exceptional.

However, I would second the above recommendations about trying to score an additional year's warranty if you are interested in purchasing one.

Sort of like buying a Hertz rent-a-car. I rent them every week and trust me....you don't want to buy any cars I rent from Hertz.
