Default 997 Finally!!!!!

She is here and what Beauty. After years of looking with a good number of near misses, I found a perfect car. 2006 C2S manual in fab condition. Dealt with a great rennlister Neil Kelley in buying the car and really enjoyed a 900 mile trip back from his home out in Maine to Chi-town.

Car is a joy to drive and the only changes to do are installing new rock guards. The car is so darn tight and well built. It makes my BMW feel so pedestrian and large.

Currently practicing my manual shifting every day and my wife now has a daily car service.

Right now I'm thinking no. I travel a lot so I'm thinking why get any salt on her for limited winter driving. Though it's gonna be difficult not driving the carrera. Do you tackle the Chicago winter?

Btw. Love the guards red and lobster forks. Silver and red were my top choices. White too. Finding a red car is really tough.

Cool, congrats. The inaugural drive sounds similar to my own, when I bought my P-car. I drove from CT to Ohio. Was on the Pennsylvania turnpike (aka U.S. Autobahn ) for several hours, it was great fun.

Thanks. I know there are a lot of lobster fork haters, but I like them! The Guards Red is the only color that caught my eye, and it is the the color I remember from growing up.

I do drive year round and it is great in the snow! I actually drive 23k miles annually. I have thought of buying an extra car, but am not sure how I'd be able to walk past the 997 to get in something else... It is a privilege to drive everyday.

Enjoy your car, and use it as you like. Just make sure you run a track day with it!

Congrats! Is it me or are 2006 C2S 911's being picked up right and left! I just got mine in July and I'm loving it. I'm driving to the mountains w/ my brand new iphone and it will be the perfect time to snap some scenic pics. Enjoy your car and post some pics!
