3m makes the 2-sided heavy duty sticky tape and you can get it at any Auto Store.

Get the polymer backed stuff and not the paper backed tape.

Do NOT get foam-backed. Wurth and 3m make emblem tape - orange or red backing, very thin. That's what you want.

We supply painted OEM emblems of all types, adhesive and backing sheet intact, if anyone needs this service.

The emblems we provide have their original adhesive intact, so we don't add this.

This stuff is normally used if you remove one, still have it in good condition, and the adhesive is lost.

Not sure if you can find this at usual parts houses, but most body shop supply places carry it, or stop by a body shop and beg for a strip of it.

You may be unable to replicate the backing found on the emblems. It's very thin and is sacrificed when the emblem is removed.
