Ha, really?

I for one would not touch the horn, its so distinctive to a Porsche...

You must be referring to the 3 Porsche's left on the street that have not had their horn stop working.

Hmmm... That's my problem. It doesn't IMO sound distinct enough.

I'm considering this one...

More of a euro sound. Here's a sample...

Right, let me clarify, I would not put on a "jackass" sounding horn on my car...

Anyway, what doesn't break? My drivers seat belt wont adjust, dealer quoted me 600 to replace! Going to attempt to repair it myself...

Just about every _other_ horn out there.....

I got clipped for a new horn a few months back, too.
Must have been from overuse...I'll bet I haven't used it 6 times in 6 years.

The horns on 997 are notoriously bad. Why? I have no idea. The horn on my 25 yr old BMW is just fine.
There are 2 horns hi and low tined. The bumper has to come off for one if them. Not sure which one. But of course the dealer likes to replace both of them at the same time charing you for 2 horns and labor for bumper removal.
