Another boring "Hey I bought a 911" post
Sorry, I cannot resist sharing my excitement about becoming a Porsche owner. A couple months ago I bought a 997.1 C2S, after many years of wanting one, several years of considering one and almost two years of on-and-off shopping. It was 20 months between my first visit to the Porsche dealer and the day I finally bought one....I asked my salesman if that was a record but he just laughed.
It's an '08, cobalt blue over stone gray, turbo wheels, nav, sport chrono and the other usual options. Plus the original owner put on some alcantara interior bits (wheel, shifter and boot, and e-brake) as well as an ssk, and of course the clear side markers! (I've lurked here long enough to know how important those are
)
I really like the meteor, slate, or atlas gray ones and thought I'd end up with one of those colors. But when the cobalt blue one popped up I had to jump on it, and have not regretted it. And I think it is more photogenic than gray. I've attached a couple of pictures. You can see more at http://www.pbase.com/gsdpic/porsche (and I will likely add more shots there as time goes on).

Great choice, and nice photographs. I appreciate it when someone puts as much research and thought into these cars as you did, and thus you were informed enough about what you wanted to jump on the right opportunity when it arose.
