Default FS: Fister Gundo Mufflers

I have a set of practically new 997.1 mufflers from Darin Fister of FD Motorsport. I say practically new because they have only a couple of hundred miles on them since I installed them. I've decided that I'd rather go back to the stock setup.

$250, plus your 997 mufflers. An exchange in the Philadelphia area (Wilmington, DE) would be ideal.

what was it that you didn't like about them that made you want to go back to stock? (I'm thinking about getting this mod done, but would love to hear your thoughts...feel free to PM me if you'd like to comment offline)

I think probably over 90% like a slightly louder, throatier exhaust system. I ultimately found that I'm in the 10% (could be less), who prefer a quiet exhaust. Just a question of personal preference really...

I think you will find a taker, I would but I am in the wild west and have a .2. No luck needed on your part but GLWS anyway.

I don't know if you got my PM, but i'm in Chapel Hill and am very interested in your fister exhausts. I could pay you through paypal, and I'm sure we could work out shipping.

what happened to your old stock setup? Didn't you just install the Fisters? Left it at the shop I suppose?

With Fister, you send back (to Fister) your stock mufflers, after you get his modified ones.

Yeah, I just installed them but quickly realized that I prefer the relative quiet of the stock setup.

I'm one of the 90% and I highly recommend the Fister mufflers. I can see why others prefer stock, but to me the Fister (or any other Gundo) sounds how the car really ought to sound from the factory.

Does this mod to the mufflers replace/ make void the PSE portion of the exhaust?

I have PSE, and like it, but I wonder if this replaces it...or works with it?

Jason,
Gundo is basically full time PSE. Don't replace your PSE with Gundo.
Fast,
Sorry that did not work out for you. It could be that the convertible is just noticably louder than the coupe.

Are these for the S or non S model?

Hey Caesar! Everyone who sits in my car, and a few Porsche guys who've heard the exhaust love it. I'm probably just over sensitive. I prefer a very quiet driving experience.

My car is a non-S, but I believe the mufflers are for the S car. I have the S tips installed.
