This is a fine example. I think I was watching this car (or one just like it) on Autotrader.com, and it disappeared over the past week. Great, color, great options, and if it is the car I was watching, an excellent deal also. Congratulations!

Great car. My previous was an '07 w manual trans and black interior like your .2 car. I don't recall any "symptom" like you are describing and I agree it will smooth out for you as you get more comfortable & tuned to the car. I went w a Pdk for many reasons but one biggy was to make wife happy when she occasionally "has" to drive it! The DFi engine is sweet. And like you, everytime I open the garage I get a big smile, or anytime I drive it which is often, I look back after parking it. So enjoy it and drive it (more than the 1st owner!

Put another 60 miles or more on yesterday afternoon and evening! Wind died down and temps cooled a little, perfect, windows down, roaring around last night! I NEVER drive with the windows down in any of my other vehicles...allergies, usually hot/humid, music/radio on. This thing...the SOUND it makes at 4000 rpm...it's better than I ever imagined it could be! At least for street use, not obnoxious, but very audible and exotic sounding.
I ordered up some basics from Griot's yesterday, but it's obvious I'm going to have to re-learn my detailing skills. I've been used to doing my boats and of course gel coat is FAR more durable and less effected by a heavy hand...read: terry shop towels, buffer and heavy compound, acetone, etc. Like last night I realized the car was still pretty clean, just lightly dusty and I realized I had NOTHING in the garage worthy of laying on that car...product, towel or otherwise. If anyone has any detailing links to share that would be great. My buddy got in the car and looked around and says "there's no dust in it...ANYWHERE". I was like, ya, like a brand new car. How the hell do you do that!!??
And ya, as I said, going back and forth on colors and options for over a year, I think THIS is my favorite color! :-) Or...whatever you guys have in your garage.

Well...265 miles later...seems that "touchy" throttle was just me, shocker. Moving forward the biggest obstacle to overcome is going to be tickets. Driving around at 3000 rpm at about 1/8 throttle, the thing is just ready to pounce on command.
Ordered a bunch of stuff from Griot's to attempt to keep it in the same condition as it arrived in! Brake dust never looked so good! What a friggin weekend!
Thanks again for all the compliments. In the week it took to get the car delivered I was all over looking at wheels, looking at duck tails, front lips, lowering springs. Unlike any of my boats, dirt bikes, etc. I am REALLY content at this point with everything about the car, just the way it is...and that's saying something if you know my mod habits.
