I have a 2006 997S and managed to lose two of the torx screws when putting in rear LEDs.

Anyone know where we can get replacement torque screws? They are the two that secure the rear tail light in place.

Item #5 ?? - if I can find it and read the diagram, you need to find a new dealer. Show him this page. If it's not item #5 then it's probably #4 which is the removable bracket that comes with two screws.

#4 points to the support mounting bracket. It is not the part.
#5 is not the part either. #5 is the screw (phillips head type screw) that attaches the mount bracket to the tail light housing (#1).

I found a similar but not exact torque screw at Lowes that comes close to fitting with some washers. It is a M5-.8 x 10MM. I wouldn't recommend using it though as you may strip your tail light housing.

Too bad the chart does not have the part number for torque screw they are showing in the chart facing the other direction. It may be the one we are looking for.

Oh found it. That #4 is the right part, it does come with the torque screws. I ordered mine today. I spoke to a guy there and he confirmed it comes with the two torque screws you see in the pic.

Different part numbers for right and left - make sure you ordered the correct side...or if you just need the screws, orientation won't matter.

OP: You may want to edit the title of this thread to reflect that you are discussing Torx style machine screws, not torque values (force x distance) used to tighten the screw.

I've lost 2 Torx screws with the washers as well. One was lost with passing time and other when O'Reilly guy unscrewed one to match size (he gave a temporary m6 bolt).
Do you know the Torx screw size and dimensions? Thanks.

If all these missing taillight torx screws are being lost because you (like me) are a clumsy oaf and managed to drop it down the little crevice and into the rear bumper...I have found that if you pull gently on the rear bottom of the bumper cover and flex it out a bit, the screw falls out the bottom.
