Let's talk Headers
I was just browsing Suncoast and I saw these and started drooling...
http://www.suncoastparts.com/product...=CarreraSSport
Wondering if these are any good? X-51 better?
Anyone who has done the headers would be interested to hear feedback. This would be connected to a PSE if I did it.

i have the cargraphic hearders and sport cats, and its a night and day difference from stock, however I have them also coupled with the mufflers, x-pipe, intake plunum (sp?) and a tune

I'm more interested in sound, not HP. Maybe 200 cell cats would have more effect....
Here is a good thread on it.. https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...ers-redux.html

I like FVD products and especially their exhaust systems. I'm very satisfied with their full exhaust system http://www.fvd.us/us/en/Porsche-0/99...90mm_Tips.html
FVD also has some nice headers that are interchangeable with the stock Porsche exhaust. http://www.fvd.us/us/en/Porsche-0/99...0/Headers.html

FVD would be my choice if I had their mufflers. I'm hesitant to mix and match with the exhaust, i've heard stock Porsche/PSE does not sound good with a lot of other brands...

I have the FVD rear muffler delete, bit farty on low rev's but at full tilt it's incredible, and the downshift murbling is incredible! However I'm bored now and just considering the FVD headers also

FWIW, you can specify what you're looking for when you order from FVD and they'll have the cans built/adjust to produce the type of sound you're looking for... +1 on the long race piped headers. Matches up nicely with the 200 cell cats and remap down the road.

After acquiring a 997.1 S with Fabspeed mufflers and stock headers & cats, the fartiness at low RPM's was annoying (great sound at full chat though). Swapping out for Tubi's improved the sound across the entire rev range, through the fartiness at low RPM's remained. After installing X51 headers and a 200 cell X-pipe , the sound is AMAZING. At low RPM's the sound is more restrained with a tighter growl and at full tilt it absolutely howls... Very Cup Car-esque! One wonders why Porsche never merged the exhaust from the factory, evening out the pulses makes wonderful music.

To the OP, I would stay away from the AP headers and go with either Fabspeed for factory X-51. I can tell you from my dyno testing the Fabspeed make more low and mid range torque than the X-51, while matching the top end. We also offer rennlist members a 5% discount.
The below graph is Fabspeed vs. Factory, non X51 headers on a 997.1 S
