Your request is typical of a lot of New-To-Porsche owners.
The 997S was well sorted out by the factory to produce the horsepower it produces. THEY LEFT NO LOW HANGING FRUIT.
For you to get real horsepower additions to that car you have to spend serious money. A friend of mine (before the 997 turbo came out) was just like you--wanted more, and tossed out the money for a supercharger installation. It wound up being a total pain in the rear. Literally. He had to then spend the bucks to have it unmodified.
If you really need the HP, then forget the 997 Carrera and go get the factory turbo version. They are becoming more affordable.

Hha, I appreciate for your answer!
Actually, I will buy 977.1C2S. I like RR, it's more like porshe (a lots of fun)
Aslo, I don't like supercharger for RR cars, it will make car loss balance
but I think chip will be a good idea for 997.1 (How do you think about it ?)
Now my plan to improve it will be:
intake, light flywheel, short gear shift.

If you want to add power that you can definitely feel and not "think" you feel, you need to get a car that has more HP, like a Turbo. If that's not your thing, an F/I kit like TPC Turbo or VF-Engineering S/C will do the job. A chip upgrade may help some, but only with a complementing full exhaust system. The OEM intake is actually quite good. It's actually a CAI, unlike some of the aftermarket intake systems that are not true CAI.
Now, if you don't want to add an F/I kit because it may cause your C2S to be unbalanced, which I would disagree, a flywheel will definitely make your car more responsive and fun to drive.

"Absolute power corrupts absolutely".
Add a flux capacitor, and be done with it.
Really. Either buy the Turbo, or live with the stock 997.
The extra cash to modify the 997 n/a will be unrecoverable.
Sports exhaust? windows down! That makes you sound fast.
You'll be happy and in your car groove in no time.
Lightened fly wheel? They rev nicely as is.
Short shift? maybe. But I like mine just fine.
You don't even have the car yet and you making plans.
Get it and drive it for six months before you start playing with it.

I have enjoyed my awe headers and fabspeed 200 cell cats.
Noticeable gain especially through the midrange,
But still not a "fast car"
The sound is worth the price alone.
However,
It's all about the driving enjoyment with these cars.
Feel the light steering, hear the mechanical sound of the boxer 6...
Look out over the frog eyes.
It's an experience like no other car.
But start with cats if you must have the extra few horses.

you have several options:
1. 997 NA RWD Look for a X51 or a GTS and add:
A FULL on intake, exhaust (headers, cats, cans). Adding just the intake will do almost nothing.
EVOMSit
Light Weight Flywheel
Pulleys
suspension- lowered w/ aggressive street/track alignment
wheels- 18'', forged wheels
interior- race buckets to reduce weight
other light weight battery
note all this will be incremental and will not come cheap.
2. GT3
3. GT2 Turbo charged but still RWD
good luck

The car is actually a lot faster than you think! Just go to a local track to find out.
But, as everyone else said, if you're looking for pure more HP, then it is very difficult to achieve anything substantial, as Porsche has engineered the max out of the engine. With better flowing CAT and larger exhaust, you may gain 5-10 HP, and if you chip, you MAY gain another 5-10HP, while some actually Dynoed the chipped car with less HP (needed more air flow).
So, to sum it up, if you're for PURE HP and want minimal gains, get a 200 CAT, and a larger exhaust and you will gain some and the sound makes you feel it's faster too anything beyond, you need to upgrade the car.
