Getting in and out of the car

Out: (left hand drive car) put my left elbow on the outside panel just aft of the door opening as I pivot around, and use that elbow/arm to push me up with right hand on steering wheel.
In: more tricky - right hand on wheel left foot planted on ground just outside car - right foot into footwell to pedals while left foot on ground and right hand/arm on steering control body/support weight as butt is pivoted into the seat... all in one semi ungracefull movement.
There is no looking cool while getting into and out of the cars given the small area that low to the ground.. unless you are under 5" tall.

It gets harder with age, I'm 63. If you have power seats my dealer showed me a trick. Set the seat all of the way back and store it in seat memory 1 & 2. Set seat memory 3 to your normal driving position. When I use the key to disarm the alarm and open the door the seat goes to memory 1 or memory 2 position (depending upon which key is used). Once in the car I use memory 3 to move the seat into my driving position. Hopefully this helps some of you.

Me - Enter in bum first on seat, kick snow and sand off of boots, swing feet in, put on seat belt.
Wife - right foot first, covered in sand and snow, then left foot dragging in an extra helping of snow and sand. Good news is that her seat position is the same as mine. No electric seats in my ride.
Going to vacuum the car this weekend. Should improve gas millage with weight loss.
