Mine had the same error code and it was the picture above.
If that thing is inside the carbon canister, prepare to curse, scratch your knuckles and have a bad day. I replaced my carbon canister trying to fix my problem and did all of those 3 things. Good luck!

In his case,it sounds like it's the pump by the canister... But I wouldn't swap it out just like that without testing. This is a 50/50 chance you'll get it right. Plus it could be an expensive part swap if it's not faulty : just a quick search reveals 180$ :

Here's the PET showing the leak detection pump... Its part #11
How can I test the Pump prior to the $180? What should I buy to do it?

I just need to mock up a 12 volt power source... I'm going to tear into it tonight. I'll try to capture my steps and we can make a DIY post!

I realize this is from a post about a year ago, but did you ever resolve your issue. My 997TT is having the same one and in the PET that I downloaded it doesn't have the page that you shared, in fact it cuts off on the page before and then starts to a new page.

I have P2402 on my 997.2 base C2. I purchased a replacement pump but have no idea how to get to it. I can't really get the carbon canister our, or can't figure out how. Is the pump under that?
UPDATE: I figured it out. It's inside the carbon canister box, which is a pain to open and close with those metal clamps. I cleared the code and hopefully the fault will not return.

Three Wheelin'
I had similar codes in my car's records from the prior owner. One time was a failing DTML Pump, the other time was a bad gas cap. Details as follows:
DTML Pump:
- Diagnostics for a CEL
- Codes returned for "Gross EVAP leak"
- Smoke tests found no leak but did find the DTML Pump is failing.
- Remove and replace failing EVAP Leak Detection Pump: $532 ($243 labor/$289 parts)
Gas Cap:
- Diagnostics for a CEL
- Codes returned for P0455 Gross Evap Leak
- Smoke test found that the gas cap is leaking
- Remove and replace gas cap: $137

I opened the canister and replaced the pump.
This is not easy and you need very strong fingers to get the sheet metal clips back on.
Not to mention getting them off in the first place.
