Default Dension 500S BT Dual not powering down

I installed the unit without issues and it was not as hard as some made it out to be.

I originally thought that I would keep my CD changer, but once I removed it to get to the wires I decided to leave the CDC out because now i have an extra 15% space in my frunk.

This means I had to put a loop on the CDC side of the Dension.

The MOST cable that originally plugged into the CDC now plugs into the car side of the Dension.

The unit works flawlessly except for two issues:

1. The blue light on the remote unit never turns off. Call me crazy, but after 3 days of sitting the car was turning over more slowly, interior lights seemed dim, and this is with a farily new battery.

My understanding is the Dension is supposed to detect when the light output stops and then goes to sleep, however this doesn't appear to be happening. Am I missing something?

2. My Samsung Galaxy S4 does not automatically connect when I get in the car. This is annoying to say the least, I have to manually connect each time.

Has anyone seen these issues before?

Other than that I'm happy with the product.
