Friday I fulfilled a lifelong dream of one day owning a 911. I was able to pickup an 05 C2S, and couldn't be more excited! I've owned a handful of nice cars that have all led to this point; e36 & e46 m3's, b5 & b6 s4, sti and so on...
I'm in the process of making sure maintenance is up to date, and getting the car detailed inside and out, so only have a poor iphone pic for know. I've read enough here to have the clear sidemarkers in place for this pic Better photos, future plans, and noob questions to follow

Congratulations, that's a beauty!
Like you, I recently fulfilled a lifelong dream of owning a 911. About a month ago I picked up my 2005 Carrera in Midnight Blue with Tan interior. So far, it's nothing but smiles !!

Congrats! Lovely car.
I just got my first 911 as well -- maybe 3 weeks ago -- 2010 C4S cabrio with 16k miles. Like everyone else here says, "all smiles" so far... (This is my second Porsche -- enjoyed a Cayman S for a couple years previously, but the 997.2 is really just a whole different animal).
Where on the map (generally) are you?
Drive in good health!
P.S., I might be the only guy on this entire board -- but I am keeping my amber side markers for now. I actually like the little flash of orange on my otherwise Darth Vader-ish car...

To answer a couple questions -
Car has 18,6xx miles after the trip back to its new home.
I'm in Chicago burbs 20 minutes west of the loop, Al at CPT will be giving it a once over tomorrow. I can do basic wrenching, but am new to platform and want a set of knowledgable eyes on it to start!
Heated garage is a mess, doubles as my weight room, storage overflow for everything, and really could be double the size
