Something I have noticed
So, bought my 997 Cab about a month ago.
I am 54 and not the best looking guy out there.
I have noticed something when I stop for fuel, groceries, pick up food etc.
The ladies, say 35 to 50 are much more friendly.
More smiles, they start up conversations, make sure they say something, etc.
Now, I am not looking for anything, I am very fortunate being married to my wife.
I am now curious. Do you guys notice the same?

No, but I do find myself smiling a lot. That could be a big factor! It it might just be the car!!!!

Think Wayne is on to something. A big smile on your face is a great social catalyst. Of course, having grown up in NYC, it could also mean you're bonkers.

Yeah, maybe so.
My wife always says I always smilie, even before the car.
If my wife is with me, the ladies just make eye contact and smile.
If just me, they defiantly find a way to make conversation.
I just find it kinda funny.
Oh, and another little thing. The valet always keeps it parked right in front.
We ate at Duke's the other night. The car never left the spot where we stepped out of.
Same with Blue Water Grill.
Its kinda cool.

Maybe you're too humble to admit it could be Mr Handsome, instead of Mr P.
Or you're using it as an excuse for the wife...."it's not me honey, it must be the car..."

OP, it happens to me all the time, both men and women. My eight-year-old daughter notices it as well when she is with me; "Daddy, what did that man/woman want?" Nearly every time I stop for fuel I get comments or questions. In the Trader Joe's parking lot, the women always look, smile and some comment on the "cute white car." Just part of the great ownership experience...

I think it depends on where you live... At my house in the city - Porsches are a dime a dozen and nobody cares - only "car guys" comment the odd time. At my cottage - 3 hours north of the city where the locals never see one, I even get people taking pictures every once in a while. Generally though men are way more likely than women to comment in my experience.

This post does bring up an episode from last Friday morning as our group of six 911s and a new Jag drove up Highway 1 toward Stinson Beach. Both Pam and I noticed that the tourists looking out at the ocean were turning inland to take pictures of us!
