I had the good fortune to receive an invite to this event, and I must say it was a great event. I spent some track time in the following cars: Cayman S, Cayman GTS, Carrera S, Carrera GTS, Panamera S, Panamera GTS and Panamera Turbo. That my friends, is a fulfilling day.

I was on a short list with one of the local Pcar dealers. I don't know how many invites the dealers have, but I feel fortunate to get the invite I did.

As you might guess, the GTS variants were fantastic....both the Cayman and Carrera GTS. Not to suggest the S variation was terrible, because they were great too. The reality is, you only get to drive the car at about 8/10ths, so some of the nuances between cars aren't as noticeable. I was also surprised to learn that I fit in the Cayman better than I use to. In the first generation Boxster/Caymans, there just wasn't enough leg room for me (I'm 6'3).

On a random note, it's pretty amusing to observe the drastic driving skill level differences at an event like this. It also takes great restraint not to pass on the track.
