The mods have started!
A couple of months ago I purchased this pristine 2009 997.2 C2 with just 15.2K miles, sports chrono, PDK, black interiors and the 19" wheels that you see. To say that car was/is impeccable is not even fair!
I'm not new to Porsches since back in 1996 I also bought an 11K millage, Arena Red 1992 964 Carrera-4 which also did not have a rear spoiler and for which I adapted one from a 993 Aero Kit.
After that I went over to the "Dark Side" with MB and BMW's until this beauty showed up. I wasn't looking to buy but when I saw it, I couldn't pass up this twice in a lifetime opportunity. The 964 was the first and similarly at the time I also wasn't looking to buy but...
I know that many have mixed feelings about rear spoilers but I've always thought that the 911 rear needs "something". Anyway these are before and after pictures for your enjoyment... and mine! Oh and just in case you're wondering, I didn't paint the calipers. They were that color when I bought it.
The next mods in the pipeline: Sharkwerks Cross Pipes and a Double Gundo Hack!

And yes, many miss the simple organic curve of a 911 without appendages.

What he said. Even if it's only for Cars & Coffee and a visual aid, I feel our non-Turbo and non-GT3 cars look unbalanced with a large rear wing, and no front/rear bumper amendments to tie it together. Either way, that is one tidy example of a 997! That thing looks brand new.

OK and much as I expected, so far there seems to be a 50-50 approval/disapproval rate. So for those of you with gray hair, it's the old "different strokes for different folks!". If you're too young to have heard that or are perplexed by what it means... Google it!
The wing is a Misha GT2M and you can get more info over here: http://misha911.com/gallery/997/997/...T2M-silver.htm

I think the rear spoiler looks great, but it needs balance. What's the plan for the front?
I have some gray hair, by the way....

I vote for rear spoiler - looks great. Get the Aero kit front bumper or something similar from Getty, GT3Tek, Vorsteiner, or my personal favorite, a RUF. Many of these also have provisions for the 3rd center radiator which will help keep the engine cool. 3 of my 4 Porsches have rear wings, the 914 an aftermarket one from where I don't remember, but that car needs a rear wing and lower front spoiler to have the right stance so you can tell which direction it's supposed to go , my wife's C2S has the active Aero rear decklid and wing from a TT, and my silver C2S has a RUF rear decklid and I made the normally fixed upper wing active Aero too - it goes with the RUF front & Rear bumpers. I'd put one on the 928 too, but with the angular rear end, I haven't found one that looks like I'd want it to.
Anyway, keep up the good work - the car looks pristine.

I like wings, Finishes them off I think. Agree on the front lip spoiler though. Anything in the triple digits and I believe it helps a bit on the front. No I'm not an engineer but Porsche always has a front lip on any car with a fixed rear wing. They are built to work together

Love the wheels. And Guards Red is always a fave. Drive safe.
If you want to dress up the interior, let me know.

Thanks! When I first saw the car I had mixed feelings about the wheels but they've since "grown" on me.
Truthfully I was quite taken back by the fact that there's not a scratch on them and the Toyo tires also seem brand new! I have a feeling that they are factory wheels taken from another car but have no idea from what car/model they came from. BTW they're 19", whereas since the car is a C2 it came with 18". So that and their condition tells me that they were not factory ordered with the car.

...and 997.2 GT3 wheels at that. The 997.1 GT3 versions look like those on my wife's pink car - (photo gallery link in the signature).
