Do you think those will make the 997 look better?
I don't. But that's just my humble opinion

Check this out (no affiliation): http://kistudios.com/product/porsche...eadlight-trim/
I'm considering this for my 997 - after installing a ducktail, and restoring headlights

I tried that, very difficult to get it right because they dont fit perfect.

Im thinking of just taking it to someone who does custom wraps if I cant find the eye lid

Don't buy that carbon eyelid. It's crap. I did and returned it the fit was so bad. I went with ki studios. The fit was perfect. Not sure what your issue was in installing. I've since removed them but when I had them they were terrific.

You're on the right track...find a reputable company that does custom car wraps and they will wrap the current eyelids with any kind of material / color you want.

Have heard that the fitment of the cheap replacement eyelids is more miss that hit.

I have the $65 KI Studios option, requires patience but is great value (relatively speaking).

Stay away from the Carbon Fiber version, the material is too "thick" and they don't stay flat with the surface of the lights, which makes them look pretty ugly / ricey. I still have mine somewhere in the storeroom.

I went with vinyl wrapping it and been very happy with the it (after 2-3 tries). The result should be the same as those stickers from KI. I didn't go with KI because they were relatively expensive, and I wasn't sure if it can be undo/redo if I didn't get it right the first time.

Since I adjusted them (read the instructions…dur!) they’ve been great.

Great job with this vinyl wrap! Looks fantastic! May I ask how much you spent on them? Was it DIY?

I opted for the KI’s but it was difficult to get right and I’m not 100% happy with the coverage.

same…I feel like the fit was too narrow there’s some slight gaps.

I have these on my car - love them - but they do flicker over bumps. does anyone else have that issue? I've reached out to morimoto and theyll happily replace them, but if it's something that happens to all of these units, i'd rather keep what i have and not go through the DRL learning and headlight aiming if results will be the same.

I have the kt studio ones on a white car. Fantastic upgrade for the money. It's been like 3.5 years and their still perfect. I didn't bother installing myself, I payed a shop like 100 bucks.
