Nice car and looks fine.
The PO of my car made a custom front license plate mount that fit into black area just under the round section of bumper. 2 Crazy assed pieces of solid plastic material I've never seen anything like it.
Was a PITA to remove had to unscrew lower bumper underneath to access but kept bumper clean w/no holes.

GT Silver for me, or any silver for that matter. Next would Guards Red. I will never buy a white car, ever and gray is too drab for me. Unfortunately I'm stuck with Black which looks fantastic for up to 3 minutes after its clean. And if I get to the point I order a new one I would love a PTS in some sort of dark green like Oak Green or Irish, or Green Ice

I had a 986 S in Seal Grey Metallic. Loved that color. My old 996 was in Arctic Silver. Also a classic. But I always had my eye on Porsche Racing Green Metallic since I first saw it on a Boxster in 2009. Searched for the right one and jumped on this C2 a while back. I’m not sure if it’s the best 997 color, but I really love it.

Sorry...I just can't get into Arctic Silver...Loved Polar Silver but Arctic is too boring...no offense just how I see it and I know I'm in the minority! I had a 2006 with a LTS Lipstick red interior and as gorgeous as that interior was after 2 years I was done with Arctic! I picked it because I couldn't figure out a color to go with the Lipstick Red Leather to sample.

Anyway...to each his own

^^^ the red interior with the blue cab would be INSANE though!!
I do love silver with red interior though...albeit GT Silver.

(that cool older cousin with impeccable taste in my family).

I had 993 C4 Polar Silver w/Metropol Dark Dark Blue interior - Incredible combo
1995 & 1996 993's only came in Polar Silver unless special ordered. No Silver until 1997 or 1998

Then I was thinking a yellow gauge cluster but after imagining that for a minute I think that would take it to yellow overdone. Beautiful car.

Thank you for the compliment. Yeah, it's a great spec and does have the stitching in the steering wheel and you're right, any more yellow would be too much. I prefer the white gage cluster over black and colored ones. Funny thing is, I'm not a Yellow car person. I am, was much more conservative than that. I put a deposit down on it sight unseen based on the build sheet. GTS, 6 speed, 18 ways, CPO, etc. I had never seen Speed Yellow in person and took a leap of faith when I flew out to buy it. When I saw it for the first time, it was "wow"!

Came with Expel on the front clip, An Escort Max 360 CI radar hard wired, and everything up to date as you would expect for a CPO. It's a great, great car. Now with a Sharkwerks bypass and a DSC module, it's all it needs to be. Now it has to share garage space with it's little sister, a Sapphire Blue Boxster GTS who, while not as fast, is just as much fun to drive. Hopefully, weather permitting, I'll get one or both out of storage this week.

I'm not a fan of red interiors in general, but that red and black with the silver looks great.

everyone here with their silver, black, whites and grays - hilarious that they're even being posted at all. The most boring, dull and conservative colors in a thread about "best" colors.

Even I have a black car (it's what i could find at the time) - and i think it's the most boring, lackluster shade a car can get. I'd repaint it in a heartbeat.

I want to see folks post things like Ipanema, yellows, greens and the like. You know, *colors* not shades. Even cream is wildly more interesting than the other off the shelf colors being posted.

I agree. IMO, silver is not a color. I had an arctic silver Boxster prior to my midnight blue 997 too, and liked it, but didn’t think it was the best color out there for a Porsche. It’s a safe color, easy resale because it’s not offensive…very basic in my opinion, and nothing wrong with it, but the best color? Not in my book. White, silver, black, gray….all rather normal and basic in my view. Go to any shopping center parking lot and you’ll see pretty much all the cars in those colors…with black interiors too.

I don’t think mine is the best color either, but at least there is color. LOL
