Default Door handle exterior trim fix / replace?

This piece of trim has come loose from around my door handle. Has anyone ever replaced it? Is it a difficult, expensive job to DIY?

Thanks.

I replaced mine last year, as it had some cracking in the trim itself. They were like $40 each and the whole interior door and handle does have to come out.

Its a pain but can be done. I replaced the microswitch attached to handle. Again, it is a pain, very fiddly but if you are patient, have smaller hands, give it a few hours... three tops.

I'm thinking it's part #

997-537-638-00
or
997-537-638-01

Looking for confirmation and a good source to order from.
Thanks!

I don't know how you are going to know which part comes with that rubber piece...... Maybe a dismantler like Parts Heaven, Oklahoma Foreign, or DC Automotive can help.... or maybe a local body shop who does Porsches. Maybe a body shop can just give you one from a smashed door.... you never know.

Peace

It is part #7 in that diagram and is available as a separate part. I will try and dig up my part order invoice...

If anyone can confirm this part number, it would be really helpful. Thanks!
