Well I never hated the 996 but I recall going to a dealer one time prior to the release of the 997 with the intention to buy a 911. I was full of expectation as I had never really sat in any 911 before but I had read so much on them and how great they were etc.

I was immediately disappointed with the interior when I sat in one. The particular car I was looking at had an interior that was a sea of sickly grey. I mean everything inside the car was grey. The leather seats, the steering wheel, door cards - everything. The whole effect was oppressive. The steering wheel and dashboard design also failed to impress. I knew straight away it was not the car for me. I think I was driving a BMW at the time and in the 90's BMW's were on top of their game.

^^^^You have a point about an all grey interior....just repulsive....unless there is a naked chick sitting in the passenger seat. Somethings can be over looked.

I don't hate them, I just prefer the round headlights. I would still consider buying a 996 if the price was right though.

I love when I see a 996 on the road.... Even more when I see a 996tt and the rear end of a nice wide 996c4s rivals most any rear on a 997 car.
Neat cars but happy where these cars have evolved to.

Hating on any lesser model car of any kind IMO just not a good look. Not for you, not your taste I get it. Dumb *** post like this, I don't get...
