Default 996 C4s or Cayman S

I understand this forum room is neither,so I thought I would get better opinions.
Having had a 993,3.2,997S,991S I love 911s..I have also had 2 Caymans and loved them.(the last being a 2014)..
Due to a growing family,I had to sell the 991S as it doesn't work for a 2 1/2 year old..So I went out a got a 2017 Macan GTS..Amazing car but it has left a void in my sports car fun.
So help me please..Both cars are 1 owner..Clean carfax..all service records..44k on both..

2004 C4s is lowered..I drove it..VERY good.. lots of fun..a little more raw than my 997S I had..full leather, but still a 996 and not my favorite ..drove great.

2007 Cayman S..exhaust,lowered by porsche..Car is in Florida so I have not seen it..But I am friends with the salesman, and I trust him completely..
911 is around 33k and the Cayman S is around 27k..
I will own this car for no more than 2 years..
thanks guys

Look at pics of both of them from the front.....Flip a coin maybe a slight edge to the Cayman
Look at from the side,,,,,its close. Cayman is nice but the C4S is clearly a 911
From the rear....Not close, the 911 hands down,

For me it would be easy based on your post, I would go with the 911. I could not throw rocks at anyone who disagreed with me, the Cayman is a sweet car.

I would say the 996 may not be 6k better. But then I have not owned a 996 or a Cayman either.

I'd tend to go with Cayman S here

With a kid potentially in tow on occasion I would go with the C4S.

In a similar situation I went with a 996TT a few years ago, love it (as do my boys).

in 5 years my boy won't need a car seat..I am not putting another car seat in a 911..we all hated it...Macan GTS and a Cayman S is pretty damn cool..
heading to Florida to pick up the Cayman in 2 days..

Funny you only solicited opinions for a matter of a few hours, but I think you made the right choice given your desire to sell it in 2 years. You've certainly had a wide array of Porsche offerings. What's your favorite of all you've owned?

Safe travels and enjoy the Cayman! Hard to go wrong with a mid-engine sports car.

hmm..well
99 Boxster..1st Porsche loved it.
95 993...was a rough one that had been in a prior accident..found out after the fact..got my money back from the dealer and got another car from them.
2000 Boxster s..like the 99 but a little faster.nothing special
87 911..AHHHHH WHY DID I SELL THAT CAR..o yeah i didn't know it would be worth so much a few years later and I was hot as hell in the summer
2010 Cayman..dfi engine kinda boring and never should have gotten a base model..10 months and out..
11 Boxster S..last boxster unless its a spyder!!..my wife loved it
997S..AHHHH WHY DID I SELL THAT CAR...it was the best one of all in many ways
2014 Cayman S..great car,great deal,lots of options..I loved it..sold it due to a baby..12 months and out..
2015 991S FAST FAST Car..but not my favorite 911..a little boring until 100 plus..missed the sporty feel of the Cayman..big car for a 911..or too big for what I think a sports car should be..but very great..we all got sick of the car seat issue with our 2 1/2 year old..
2017 Macan GTS..if you need something like this, its amazing..
and now the 07 Cayman S..I know it will be slower than my last few cars, but I think that will be ok because honestly I was getting way too fast on my little back road drives..I love the sound and feel of these older Caymans..
