My wife is having our second (by c-section) on 18 January, so I suspect car time will be quite limited this coming year! But I have a Numeric Racing shifter on the way, plus my custom wrapped wheel to install too. Need to also buy some Michelin Pilot Super Sports for the front, as I bought the rears in the fall. They will go on a set of CH-Rs I just had powder coated ultra black chrome. Picking those up Tuesday. I might have to wait for 2018 for a set of catted x-pipes though...

In no particular order, I want to install all the accumulated/ordered parts (Pagid RS29 pads, new discs, stainless steel braided brake lines, K&N air filters, new side stripes, OZ Racing Ultraleggera's), get the Feynlab ceramic coating, get the car lowered (on the stock Bilstein DampTronics) and realigned, get the TPC Racing DSC module and RSS engine/transmission mounts.

And finally, get onto the Dubai Autodrome for a track evening!

Oh it'll be in my 'build thread' for sure. Can't wait!

If you need it sooner, Tom of TPC did the same thing with a P1 to his GT3 and it's in his build thread:

It starts here:

And here is the reference to the pins on the 9A1 ECU to tap:

No mods. Keep stock as possible. Better in the long run.

GRAY911...no mods? Keep it as stock? Didn't you just put Bilstein shocks and coilovers in? I'm planning on using your how to when I do mine.

1) Install Fabspeed headers. They're on the way! Hoping to get it done this weekend
2) Install plugs and coil packs while doing headers, or vice versa! Have those parts too. I also have a borescope thingy ($10 Amazon) and I'll probably play with that while the plugs are out. Of course I'll be examining, photographing, and keeping the plugs, just like I keep and label all of the oil filters for my DIY oil changes.
2a) Test car and have fun with it
3) install PTX manual tranny fluid (also en route) Hoping to get it done next weekend (jan 14-15)
4) Also install FF Orange insert. May do a test drive in between and not sure which to tackle first, but I want to get both done while the under-covers are off. May not want to bother jacking up twice, so may do both at once, knowingly giving up the ability to test each mod individually.
5) Water Pump and maybe 200 cell cats. No rush for this and just doing WP as maintenance. Would probably do a low-temp thermostat as well.
6) instruct and drive at a bunch of DEs including Chin in Feb at Road Atlanta
7) get some pro coaching - starting with above DE (already lined up, just need to lock it in)
8) get some faster times while maintaining and decreasing risk on track, based on pro coaching

Overall Goal: continue to DIY maintain car to keep it in as good or better shape than it is now - while continuing to drive the **** out of it on the street and track.

Turbo tail in white is being prepped for shipment. Custom wrap and possibly new wheels. Install the factory Sat unit sitting in my office.

ditto on: Install Ecliptech P2 Shift Light, which I just received. Good SharkWerks DYI on getting to ECU and I figured out which pins/wires to tap into. Need a longer wire than the one supplied. Thermostat wire may do.

Might carbon fiber inner and outer door sills. Hate seeing them dirty or scratched. Right now I have sticky-back vinyl carbon fibre on them to project them.

After winter....

A) annual maintenance
B) thorough detail interior/exterior. Went neglected a bit in 2016, no time.
C) Drive it more than in 2016
D) investigate Bilstein b16 and spacers

yes if you want your car to be slower, sound worse then other 911s, handle worse, not be unique, and look worse then stay stock as this will guarantee that in the long run
