Default 997 TT .2TT or GTS?

I'm going to divorce this bitch soon. 997.1 TT calling my name. Then I see the GTS and .2TT. Car must be manual. Are the 991 S cars faster? I don't like them particularly and am looking for a car to drive daily, garage and care for as well as long term own. I'm an AWD guy thus far and the Turbo is pretty dang nice for the price........

I went from a '03 4S to a '11 TTS (PDK) and think I made the right choice for me. I considered a 991S, but I don't really care for the 991's either. I wanted something challenging to drive. I also had the GTS in mind, but the Turbo won out. They did make GTS 4's, but you don't see many. The AWD system in my TTS is quite different from my old 4S in that it drives like a RWD car in the sport modes. Very fun. Around town it's quite tame however, though it is a bit more spirited than a non S Turbo I think due to the cams and tune. Figure out what you want to spend and go from there to see what you can get.

As those price points are close to each other except the .2TT I believe. I was hot on a .2 TT manual but the 991GT3 is offering the manual now I've seen.

I'd do the .2TT 6mt if you can find one.

What makes the 997 GTS special, is that it's the only naturally aspirated (with more HP) rear wheel drive wide body of that generation. Yes, they made a 4, but that seemed like a distraction from the original intent.

Turbo and 4WD compared to a GTS is really an apples to oranges question.

If you like AWD, 997TT is perfect car for you, there is Turbo lag on these 997 model but tune and exhaust help minimize the lags. If you don't really care for the fossil 997.3 PCM, there are a few good example of 997.1TT out there.
As for GTS, I think they are great cars and NA engine are history nowadays. No wrong choice between the two but 997.2 TTS make more financial sense to me. Well, no manual though
