Default 2011 GT3 RS Front end lift

I need to replace the front end lift on my car part number 997-341-263-1X, depending where you buy it it's about 8K to 13.5K. All of them are rebuilt by Porsche since they no longer make them.

Anyone had to deal with this issue, just wondering how many front spoilers i can buy with 8K, but i would like it to work as well.

Thanks!

What are the symptoms, and condition of your lift? Is it still in the car or has it been removed?

Thanks for reaching out JB. The car has about 5K miles on it, i bought it a few months ago. It goes up and down, you just have to hit the button multiple times, it's kinda hit and miss, i have not gotten any type of error. The dealer looked at at last week and said that they did not think it was one of the switches, i have them getting pricing on the switches just because of the huge price difference between the switches and an whole new unit.

Most of the issues are with the 13Bar switch. I organized a group buy a few weeks ago for the switches, direct from Germany. Check out the link I posted, it has lots of details. I recommend diagnosing the Lift yourself- dealers mostly replace the unit for $14K, but an indie shop may investigate and/or replace switches. I'm replacing my switch myself with the unit in the car, as soon as I receive mine at the end of the month. My entire lift was replaced under CPO, and a few years later, just like everyone else, it needs to be replaced. Consider it a maintenance item like oil change, new tires etc.

Would you mind sending me a PM with the link for the switches? There are 3 right?

I'd be interested in these as well if there's another group buy.

Please add me to the group buy. Mine works, but we all know it will eventually fail….

Do you have the part number and is it the same for all 3?

Below is from my dealer:

"So there are 3 sensors available.

  1. 997.341.964.90
  2. 997.341.957.90
  3. 997.341.963.90
  4. 997.341.965.90
Part 1 and 2 are unclear which goes with the car so we would order both and only use the one that matches the one in the car."

You likely just need the 13 Bar switch- here's the link to the thread previously posted:

The group buy for the 13Bar switch just came in-details are on the long thread I posted. I told the rep that there might be another order soon-the minimum quantity is 5 switches. And no mention of P-cars, I suspect the price might go up 😂
