Quickjack owners, what's your jack orientation
I'm replacing my horns and broke out my quickjacks to lift the car. I normally do stickers at the rear wheels and have never had an issue. Read through the instructions and didn't come across anything to the contrary.
However, in searching, I came upon 2 things that piqued my attention.

Stickers would be in the rear for our cars.
Shorter block in the front, taller block in the rear and it will sit level.
You *can* run it either way if you’re just doing a wheel swap or something. But the sticker in the rear is the correct orientation for the weight distribution.
Always locks facing outward.
Costco often has a sale on the 5000TL which comes with some extras and obvi the lifetime return policy. Mine has been amazing so far and setup was much easier than most have suggested.

the blocks can be snug so I have swing “pivot” the lift from the inside on the rear by pulling the Jack toward me into position.
A few other tips, worth watching my video on how to use a strap to torque and remove CL… stupid easy.
I was a little untrusting of the 1/2 bead of weld holding the locks up so another member showed me instead of placing my backup safety Jacks somewhere on the body I place them under the Quickjack once in the lift position, making it impossible to fail.
I bought the 7000 so I could do my wife’s SUVs.

this…. If you reverse the orientation the pivot will put pressure on your side skirts.

I've shared with others in the past, but the large yellow label on each lift is considered to be the "front" and it should be positioned (front/rear) to point to where the bulk of the mass resides. Our cars are so light that it may not really matter, but I have seen QJs struggle to lift the car because of the loading was not incorrect.
Quick Ref Guide:
Engine in the front - Label side front
Engine in the rear/mid - Label side rear

Hey @Wonderdan I am interested in seeing the strap video for the CL's too!

Wedges perfectly against the edge of my buckets with a thick towel for protection. Not sure if it will work with sofas, as it does need something very solid to press against.

That’s my exact current method. Just thought the strap method sounds interesting. Sometimes with the clamp I don’t move the seat far enough forward and the wheel turns ever so slightly when reverse torquing.
Also, because we seem to be headed that direction, I have had really good results just reversing the clamps on this:L. https://www.amazon.com/DEWALT-DWHT83...s%2C126&sr=1-8

Here is the install, easy enough... I do pay attention though cause the clamp could touch the wheel or body if it slipped somehow or wasn't connected.
Also a picture of my Quickjack insurance policy, I do this if i'm under the car... whatever you do dont forget they are there
