Default GT3 Dyno at 75k Miles @ Ed Pink

997.1 GT3 @ 75,500 miles
Run 1: 387whp
Run 2: 386whp

No Power Mods, Just Valved Side Muffler Delete
Shop said could def get more power with a tune as it’s slightly rich but nice and safe…which I prefer. Nice seeing her make good numbers with age.

buddy also came with his freshly built 4.0 997.1RS, still needs final tuning and it made

Run1: 457whp
Run2: 448whp

How conservative were the factory-quoted numbers when new? That seems really strong. Even at only 10% drivetrain loss, that works out to over 415hp at the crank, unless I'm crazy.

yeah Porsche always been that way. Either ridiculously low drivetrain loss or understate their #’s

I think that's about right for that car. Nice run! Nice car!

I also have heard that Porsche is conservative with their GT numbers, but forgot the percentage.

@ChrisF calm down with the turbos sir. Making us feel slow and torque less 🤣. I hadn’t Dyno’d a car in so many years. Have to admit it was exciting to see how she did with the miles on her. I haven’t seen a gt2 Dyno’d but guess around 470-490 depending on the dyno.

@DD GT3 RD have you ever thought about an engine overhaul? I hear from time to time that at about 100k KM (~62k M) an overhaul might be a good thing to prevent actual damage...Not sure there is anything to it hence why I am asking

I can’t imagine cracking open a perfectly healthy engine for a “proactive” overhaul.

Do you need to do anything to trick ABS/other software to run these cars on a dyno, or do you just strap it down and go?
