Floating Disc and Pad Recommendations
I've been running Girodisc floating rotors and Pagid Yellows on my car for a few years. I do some street driving and about 6-8 track events per year. This has worked pretty well for me for while. The pads do seem to have a more endurance racing feel though.
It's time to replace the rotors/pads and I'm wondering if there are other options
I was thinking about girodisc again

but also rennline.. are these at the level of Girodisc and Brembo?

Also, what pads are suitable for track use? Are people using Ferodo? Which Ferodo pad are you using? Are there other options people can recommend?
Thanks!

My 991.1 RS had Girodisc floating rotor and Ferodo DS1.11 and they ran great on the track. ZERO fade and extreme stopping power, I did 5 track days on them in one year and put 11K miles on the car and it still had a ton of pad/rotor life left.

If the girodisc are working for you then I would stick with those. As noted above just replace the rings, pretty easy job. I like performance friction pads specifically the pfc08 compound.

Brembo type III and pagids for the same use case. It's all personal preference. Girodisc is probably best value for performance. Just replace your rings, hardware and pads as needed.

Ring replacement is pretty therapeutic I have to say. I also run the GP40 pads on my 997.2 GT3 and the bite and stopping power's great. On my 4.2L 981 Cayman I run the same GT3 rotor setup up front with DS1.11. A pad with less bite helps with the non-GT cars' ABS system.

I am in the same boat, also considering the PFC V3.
Anyone using them here and any opinion?
2 things that stand out, the extra cash demanded versus other options and the bigger (373mm) rear disks with spacer needed.

Thanks.
I have PFC v2 on my M coupe and liked them. The pads (08) did detach from the plate which for such $$$ pad is not acceptable.
I got them switched with Z rated and since then it is Ok. The car doesn’t see track time now.
Also pondering to take the jump to ceramic, ST or similar.
