I did not use Locktite but the screws had a fair amount of resistance when tightening. I did not torque them to any specific value. I did leave the lower screws of the uprights slightly loose so that I could install the plastic spacers on the wing mounts - that helped a lot. Even though the wing is extremely light, I would also recommend that someone assist you in installing, as it hard to balance holding the wing and secure the wing mounting screws, spacers and lock nuts. With my wife’s help, it only took 15 minutes to install. The height of the wing is perfect and the uprights are gorgeous! I am certain everyone will be quite pleased with their purchase!
