Is Aqua Blue hard to keep clean?
Any owners or former owners please let me know your opinion. I've wanted a white/gold .2 RS for a while, but the Aqua Blue/Gold looks amazing.
I had a Dark Blue Metallic 991 GTS and it drove me nuts. Hard to keep clean.
Let me know your thoughts.
It's not the huge dollar step up in price that bugs me about changing. My .2 GT3 is near perfect. It's the 10.5% sales tax that we pay here.

Aqua Blue
Aqua blue is not nearly as bad as the dark blue, black and maroon cars I have owned in the past! Aqua is fairly bright and, with the metallic flecks, hides a good share of the dust, dirt and brake dust. I can go a couple of weeks before washing mine, however, my RS is such a joy to wash I really do not mind!

I can't compare ease of keeping clean between Aqua & the other darker colors you mention, but I will say that having PCCB's makes a big difference in how clean the back end of the car ends up at the end of a solid day of driving. I went an entire week this past summer driving through 4 states, all back roads, to/from the Smokey Mtn / Tail of Dragon, famously named roads,... & never once washed or attempted to clean the car. We never ran into a rain either,... but I will repeat that I believe the car stayed so clean due to the PCCB's.

Cobalt is similar and I don't have issues, its fully ppf'd and ceramic coated.

I do say I love it. I had a dark blue metallic 991, and must admit it drove me a little batty trying to keep it clean. I think a lighter blue would be easier. My 2010 GT3 is white and it's so easy. Same with my 991 GTS in GT silver. They always look good and my GT3 only needs the front and rear bumpers cleaned after a run up to the mountains for the most part.
Aqua Blue is really a great color for the RS. Hard to ignore.

I have an Aqua Blue .2 3RS. I love it. Much easier than white or black to keep looking good. They aren't many Aqua Blue .2s around. 57 were delivered to North America, 49 to the US. There was a red accent one on BaT last week. I prefer the white gold accents.

Aqua can't be as bad as Dark Blue which I have on my turbo. I use a Calif Car Duster after I drive my cars. Takes about 2 minutes to dust. If it'e really bad, I use detail spray. Pretty simple.

The Aqua Blue is just so captivating, and when you throw in the Gold, it really catches the eye. And bonus, it doesn't highlight every little bit of dirt like the darker colors do.

Hey Kev,... I wanted to ask (back when you had this thread going), but forgot ... until now.
Did you actually have your eye on one that was out there for sale? or was this just based on perusing web pics?

I had my right knee replaced Nov 22, 2022 and after straightening it out from the effects of an old ski injury my left knee went to hell in four months so I had it replaced too like last June. Now it is straight as a ruler, and guess what? My left foot don't dig it and I'm doing Cortizone and some lubricant or somesuch. I may have to put a plate in there. Ugh.
I can clutch, but I'm using a carbon fiber orthotic to keep my foot from flexing.
The car I have is really nice, and it fits me well. I'm still keeping my eye out, but it seems like people are holding onto 997.2 RSs
